Winter/Spring Tour 2006

After a refreshing Christmas break we came together on January 3rd to begin the process of hitting the road once again. This would be the first ever winter tour for Regen and we were anxious to begin!

We started the tour off in Washington, DC with the best Mobile Team Conference any of us had ever experienced! YWAM Tyler's mobile team Remnant Productions has been living in DC for the past six months and are feeling called to plant a 24-7 house of prayer there ( see www.therem.com for more info). So our team, the new Destiny Warriors Team, as well as several of our leadership, joined Remnant in DC for five wonderful days ( and nights) of intercession, worship, discussion, prayer walking, and just hanging out together.

During this time, many of us received greater revelation of God's heart and dreams for our nation and of our responsibility to fulfill those dreams, to see an end to legalized abortion, to see our culture become a culture of LIFE, to see Godly men and women placed in our government who will make righteous decisions, to pray for all in authority, and to spend more time in God's presence, hearing what is on His heart.

We walked away from that time with a renewed conviction that within this nation lies something worth fighting for.

From DC, we moved on to Virginia Beach, Virginia where we worked for two weeks with our former leader Liam (BJ) Coventry and his youth group.

Malachi 4:6

While in Virginia, we had the amazing privilege of taking part in the restoration of a family. After one of our performances of De L' Amour, a father came up for prayer and our leader Wes prayed with him. After praying out the things on his heart, repenting, and crying out to God, Wes challenged him to repent to his family. His whole family was there so he called them over and Wes was able to stand there and watch as this man repented to his wife and kids who forgave him and then prayed for him.

God truly is a God of reconciliation and restoration! May this story become the story of families all across this nation!

From Virginia we headed to Anderson, South Carolina, home of - yes, Radio and Coach Jones from the movie Radio - but more importantly the home of our team member Ryan Riggs. Things fell through and we had no performances scheduled but we felt we were to go anyway and sensed that God wanted to use us to encourage some people.

We were able to help Ryan's mom fix up and move into her new house, meet and pray with Radio and Coach Jones (who, by the way is such a man of God and has an incredible heart ). But before we left we had an early morning meeting, like an FCA meeting, at T.L. Hannah high school to speak at. We shared a short simple message of God's love and dreams and purposes for their lives and at the end we had quite a few students sign up for information on YWAM. Afterwards, the teacher who ran the meeting and her assistant invited to talk with the two of them more. The assistant, we'll call her Jessie, had been praying for a while for God to send a group like us through and had been praying with others for it the night before Ryan called the teacher about us coming. And listening us share our hearts, she realized that what we do is what she has always longed to do. By the time we left, she was encouraged, her faith strengthened, and ready to come into YWAM!

From South Carolina, we headed to St. Louis to work with some old friends who used to be on a mobile team and are now youth pastors. It was a fun and encouraging time for all of us and so good to reconnect with old friends!

Next we stopped in Fayetteville, Arkansas and had the incredible opportunity to be part of seeing a youth group full of division begin to reconcile and come together, as well as express an eagerness to experience missions.

Our last stop before returning to the base was Independence, Louisiana, where we worked with our old team member Brooke Bennett. We performed De L' Amour for their whole church and was able to encourage them to continue reaching out to and interceding for their community. We were also able to play a small part in helping them set up their 24-7 prayer room. We have since been hearing reports that prayers we prayed over different individuals are already being answered. How could we ever think that anything is more exciting than partnering with God?!

Well, here we are presently at the base, about to take part in our ministry's annual event Take Action, where we will perform De L' Amour.

After this, we will be leaving for the second half of this tour. We will be somewhat local at first, as we will have eight DTS students joining us for their outreach at the end of the month. Then we will head this wagon train Northwest! God has spoken very clearly to us to go the West Coast this spring and the word He has given us for this tour is "Redemption," which is cool since the name of the DTS that the students who are joining us are from is the School of Redemption. We are very excited and will keep you all posted as often as possible on what is happening!

Prayer Needs

· Wisdom, discernment, revelation, insight to know our next steps

· Drivers - because of Texas state insurance laws/rules it is increasingly difficult to keep qualified drivers. Without drivers, we can't get very far!

· Finances - especially to be able to pay off our van note

· Safety - we're about to buy a smaller trailer but still pray for our driving safety

· Health, strength, energy to give all that we do our very best

· Encouragement, strengthening of our faith

· Fulfillment of God's dreams for our team and the promises He has given us
